[ lux has been struggling to hold it together but - seeing someone who can't makes it easier. it's always more manageable to be what someone else needs. she brings futaba a glass of water and sets that nearby, because she doesn't want her getting dehydrated from crying too much. ]

[ sometimes all you need is company while your body hits betray. but futaba will happily throw herself at lux while getting tears and snot everywhere ]
[ luckily lux is wearing a school uniform instead of armor, so that hug is actually soft. she wraps her arms around futaba after a moment of hesitation, and slowly pets her hair. ]

[ it's fine she'd get super prickly at the idea of false promises. comfort is much more important and futabs appreciates just having the space to mourn at the moment ]
