[ of all surprises, futaba's actually diligently coloring her page with deep concentration.

just... ignore the fact that her cute image now has additional body parts and strange colors ]

[what a shitshow. after the trial, taichi finds himself wandering around campus, occasionally dropping in to talk to people and making sure nothing else is amiss.

at some point though his wandering leads him straight to futaba. he thinks about how today's trial went, and as he approaches her he's quiet but not enough to startle her.]

Looks like it worked out after all. [but his feelings are still a little uneasy about it, even as he gauges what she might say.]

[where is futaba. taichi's likely around wandering the campus, possibly with a baby goose and its mother following, you tell me, and when he finds her he flags her down.]

Hey! Futaba-chan! [he looks mildly concerned but mostly because there's another dead body.] Did you see today's announcement?

...wait so are pokemon those things you were talking about when you were explaining your personas?

[it's fall dorm time!! which means that taichi's coming in from the outside and has two cups of cocoa. it was...kind of a rocky weekend for everybody, but it's kind of hard to forget futaba's reaction to bradley's death.

so wherever she is in the dorm he approaches and offers her a cup.]

Interested? I accidentally got a second one when I was at the library.

[eventually he will return to the dorm after...that mess. god. what a mess??? as he enters the common room he comes across futaba and he pauses nearby, debating what to say. he could very well not say anything at all, but...it doesn't feel right to ignore her.]

...Futaba-chan. Mind if I join you?

how would you feel about going on a date with somebody?

[at some nebulous time, he'll come back to the dorm and he's seeking out futaba. he couldn't comfort her or help her during her breakdown because...frankly, he didn't feel qualified to do so.

but that doesn't mean he's not worried. so he will go to find her.]

...Futaba-chan?

[he's moving fairly slowly, mostly to make sure he doesn't crash, but as he wanders into fall dorm he's squinting to try and focus and set his sights on one person in particular.]

...Lalli told me you and Lux got back before we did. Are you okay? [please tell him you got healed, futaba.]

[sometime after all of the meetings and group pow wows, taichi will return to fall dorm and seek out futaba, offering her a cup of hot chocolate for her troubles.]

What a day, huh?

[as per tradition, he will come find her and offer her a cup of hot cocoa. wouldn't it be wild if she actually hated this and he kept doing it? but regardless, here they are.]
