[ The laugh takes him by surprise, but Leo doesn't try to stifle it, either. She's cute, god she's so cute, and suddenly this feels a whole lot easier. Leaning over, he looks up at her and tries to catch her eyes through her fingers. ]
Futabaaaaa, [ he calls, sing-song. ] Does that mean you don't want to go to the planetarium with me...?
[ Okay, so maybe there's still a little doubt in the back of his mind. But now that he's playing this by ear, his smile is far less nervous than before, and Leo still finds himself hoping for the best. ]
[ The vehemence takes even her surprise and she's left blinking at him, the receding blush coming back in full force. .....Oh. Well, maybe she does want this after all. ]
[ Curse you mortal flesh for betraying her like this as her face once again takes on a lovely red hue. No one ever mentioned how romance was so awkward. It's like all of her genius has fallen out while she just gibbers meaninglessly at him. Though to be fair she, Futaba Isshiki has managed to nab herself an honest to goodness date. A bit of hysterics should probably have been expected. ]
